The cover for the latest issue of SPIN magazine has been revealed, touting an upside-down picture of Waka Flocka Flame.

In the issue, writer Julianne Escobedo Shepherd profiles Waka who talks about dealing with personal tragedies. “I’m 25, but I got an old man’s soul,” he says. “I just know how to camouflage it.”

He also discusses why he appeals to so many types of demographics. “I can’t clock into just one group of people ever in my life,” he says. “When I was younger, I hung with nerds, thugs, basketball players, a lot of girls. But none of the different crowds knew [about the others]. I’m kinda all those things.”

Also in the issue are features on Santigold, Insane Clown Posse’s Violent J, extreme-metal bands in Cuba, Metallica’s Lars Ulrich and more.
