Roughly two years after former Bad Boy rapper Trevell “G. Dep” Coleman turned himself into police for the murder of a man in Harlem in 1993, the rapper now says that prosecutors have matched him to the wrong victim.
According to the New York Post, G. Dep now hopes that the jury in his case will find reasonable doubt when it comes to the murder of John Henkel, the victim prosecutors have G. Dep linked with.
Several inconsistences have arisen in the case and among them is the description G. Dep gave of the man he shot and Henkel’s description. G. Dep described the victim as being a clean-shaven blonde man in a green plaid jacket while Henkel was a man with brown hair and a beard and was not wearing a green plaid jacket.

“There are no other homicides even close to fitting the description,” prosecutor David Drucker revealed to jurors, according to the New York Post.
If found guilty G. Dep will serve at last 15 years in prison.
