Preparing to release his fourth solo album aptly titled “Preacher’s Son”; Wyclef Jean plans to speak on everything from a reunion of Biggie and Pac to his beef with his cousin Pras. On the song “Industry” Clef spits verses about the joining of some of hip-hop’s biggest stars that either had or continue to carry beef with each other.
“Imagine if Biggie and Pac never got shot and they both still was rulers of hip-hop… What if Nas and Jay-Z, they were still homies/ Squashed the beef with Ja Rule and 50/ And Benzino shook hands with Eminem/ And on the same record I heard Eve, Fox and Kim”. Guest appearances on “Preacher’s Son”, which will be released on October 7th are be Prodigy of Mobb Deep, Patti Labelle. Trick Daddy, Redman, 106 and Park freestyle winner Shells, Scarface and Timbaland. But as Wyclef Jean discusses an end to beef, on the song “Fake A** Pras”, Clef waste no time in expressing his feeling for his cousin and former group member. “The fans want the Fugees back together/ The only thing they don’t want is the third member/ …Yeah, I seen your movie, son/ It made my stomach turn/ … I’mma drop you harder than Sony did”.
Instead of responding to Wyclef dis, Pras has decided to take another route. “I’m in the studio enhancing my career, and not making a pathetic attempt at destroying someone else’s,” Pras said. Pras back in the studio working on his next solo album titled “Cold Fire” which will be released later this year. Guest appearances on Pras album will be Sheek, Sean Paul and Sharli McQueen.
