It’s been the year of 50 Cent at awards shows so far, but can that streak continue during the MTV Video Music Awards? We shall soon find out on August 28 when this year’s awards show is broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall. Missy Elliott received eight nominations for her hit video “Work It” including Video of the Year, Best Female Video, Best Hip-Hop Video. 50 Cent is holding down five nominations including Video of the Year, Best Male Video, Best Rap Video. But that is not the only talent on Shady/Aftermath that will be competing for the moonman award. Eminem also received five nominations including Best Male Video, Best Rap Video and Viewer’s Choice.
