With so many different artists switching labels or taking the independent route, Eve is deciding to do something different. Eve has linked a deal to become the First “Rap” Lady of Ruff Ryder’s and Aftermath Records.
According to MTV, Eve’s next project will be released through both companies who will work together to market and distribute the album. Dr. Dre has been behind the boards on several of Eve’s biggest hit songs (“Let Me Blow your Mind”) and she is more than ready to hit the studio again with him. “You will see Dre all over the record, let’s put it that way .It doesn’t matter what type of material he’ll bring. “It’s Dre. That’s all I care about. He’s creative, he’s hardworking, and he has the energy. He believes in the project and that is what makes it all good.”
Although Eve is hard at work on the music aspect of her career, that isn’t the only pot she is cooking. Currently commercial’s are running on the network UPN for her upcoming fall show “Eve” and she will be back on the big screen in “Barbershop 2” and “The Woodsman” with Damon Dash executive producing. Bringing her television show to life, Eve will be releasing her own clothing line “Fetish” in stores later this year.
