With Jay-Z standing in front of the federal court judge, hopes were high that the judge would grant Dwight Grant also known as Beanie Siegel bail. Those hopes were soon gone after the judge denied bail on the charge of felony possession of a firearm.

According to MTV, the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms arrested him last week for an April 20th arrest on gun charges. Beanie Sigel’s lawyer Fortunato Perri, said, “Obviously we’re disappointed by the court’s ruling, but we will continue to fight”. They were also aware the outcome might not go in their favor cause Beanie has other open cases, including the July 3rd arrest on allegedly shooting someone. Beanie Sigel can breathe slightly easier since his aggravated assault charge was reduced to a misdemeanor. Though no other federal court date has been set Beanie is due back in court August 21st for a continuation of a preliminary hearing. So the Roc Army will still be visible on the Rock the Mic Tour, Beanie Sigel may not be able to join back up before August 5th. State Property’s second album will be released on August 12th.
