Ice-T’s Documentary “Something From Nothing: The Art Of Rap” Acquired By Indomina

Fresh off of showing his documentary Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap at Sundance, Ice-T has sold the worldwide rights to Indomina for distribution.

According to a press release, The Indomina Group, which is also producing a live-action version of Afro Samurai starring Samuel L. Jackson, will handle the global distribution of the film, with plans for theatrical release in the summer.

“It was important to us to get with a company that has as much passion about ‘Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap’ as we do and that company is Indomina,” said Ice-T. “They are a fantastic partner and a great company. We look forward to working with them and releasing this film to the world.”

The film, described as “a performance documentary about the runaway juggernaut that is hip-hop,” features guest appearances from Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Chuck D, Snoop Dogg and more.

      1. Every stupid kid thinks hiphop is what they see on television today – lil wyne drake and the list goes on.

    2. great if you listen to an ice t interview he always speaks the truth and keeps it real and represents for the culture not to many rappers do that now saigon comes to mind and thats it

    3. Is this not thr rapper who made the song copkiller and is now playing a cop in a tvseries?? You played yourself Ice!!!!

      1. I’d like to catch this flick in the theatre also, but I live out in the UK and the faggot film distributors doesn’t cater or care about Black audiences. They don’t even fuck with Tyler Perry, and he’s one of Hollywood’s most financially successful players. Yet you get a cracker movie like Jonah Hex or Jennifer’s Body starrin’ that hoe from Transformers and it secures a release overseas, even though it bombed at the US box office. Just hope it’s as good as the Tribe movie.
