Roc-A-Fella rapper Beanie Sigel is getting ready to drop the follow-up to his 2000 gold debut effort, The Truth. The Philadelphia-based MC’s sophomore album, entitled The Reason, was unveiled recently at a listening session in New York City.
Four songs are still left to be recorded, including collaborations with veteran Geto Boys rapper / Def Jam South president Scarface, fellow Roc-A-Fella rapper Memphis Bleek and hip-hop diva Mary J. Blige.
While there is no exact release date yet, The Reason is scheduled to hit record stores sometime this summer, according to a spokesperson at Roc-A-Fella. The track listing, as it appears so far, is as follows:
