Buckshot recently chopped it up with Montreality while in Canada, speaking on several topics including the type of student he was at school, what he spent his first big paycheck on and Sean Price fighting with an airport cop. During the discussion, the Boot Camp Clik member spoke on his key to success and longevity, explaining that respecting the youth takes primary importance.

“Patience, discipline, obedience. I always have an open mind to know stuff – always – and know it how I do. The first thing I do and the one thing I know for a fact is children are the future, so I listen to the young and I respect the young, because they’re the ones on the come-up,” he said. “Most people think it’s the other way around. That’s what Duck Down is about. That’s why our label survived so many years. Not because we try anything unnatural – simply because we respect the young people or the people that are coming up, or anybody who has an opinion or view of creativity.”
