50 Cent continues to expand his acting resume with the announcement that he will star as a 1980s-era pimp in the Alaska-based thriller The Frozen Ground.
According to The Anchorage Daily News, Fif will star alongside Nicholas Cage, John Cusack and Vanessa Hudgens in the film, which will lens in Anchorage, Alaska beginning on October 10th with a $27 million budget. The flick tells the true story of serial killer Robert Hansen, known as the “Butcher Baker,” who targeted prostitutes and murdered as many as 21 women in the ’70s and ’80s.
The Frozen Ground, written and directed by newcomer Scott Walker, also sees Fif serving as executive producer. The director thought that there was a great role for him and I gave him the script,” said Randall Emmett, who serves as a business partner with 50 in their Cheetah Vision Films. “He’s basically moved a lot of tour dates and a bunch of stuff that he has on his calendar to be committed and up in Alaska.”
