Deejay/producer Mick Boogie announced today that Jay-Z’s Roc Nation management arm will now be handling his business affairs. “I am now officially managed by Roc Nation. Their line-up is crazy… Jay-Z, Mark Ronson, Rihanna, The Ting Tings, D-Nice, Harley Viera-Newton, Santigold… and now me. Definitely time to take things to the next level,” wrote Mick in a statement.
The aforementioned Mark Ronson and former emcee D-Nice are two other deejays handled by Roc Nation.
With tapes such as Dilla-gence
with Busta Rhymes and the late J Dilla, Viva La Hova, mixing Jay-Z with Coldplay, and even last year’s Summertime with DJ Jazzy Jeff, Mick Boogie has ascended to one of the premier mixtape creators in Hip Hop, as well as a top party deejay.
