It has boiling for some time now, ever since Dre helped Xzibit earn a platinum plaque X has seemed to be much more involved with Aftermath than with his Likwit Crew. Tha Liks were responsible for putting Xzibit on, demanding that Loud give him a deal; but Dre took him to the top. Xzibit has said in interviews that they should be happy for him, but both J-Ro and Tash claim they are and it is X’s attitude towards them that is unsettling.
In both cases, all parties have been rather diplomatic about the whole issue. That is about to change, as I mentioned last week in News Bits, J-Ro has called out Xzibit. The song is called “Look Out (The X-Homie)” and will be popping up on mixtapes soon. J-Ro spits lines like, “Lil Homie/ You act like you don’t know me/ Jumping ship on your crew must be real lonely.”
J-Ro also had some strong words for X when he was off the mic, “[Xzibit] gonna have to get the message. It’s no way around that. It’s all real stuff that actually happened, so he has no choice but to feel it. It’s like scolding your kid or your nephew; sometimes you gotta just make it happen whether it’s in front of anybody or not. I’m just letting him know that what he been doing ain’t appreciated by the whole Likwit crew, or by the whole west coast.”
