Daz Dillinger is turning to the Web to push his upcoming album D.A.Z. However, Tha Dogg Pound member’s latest scheme to promote his records may be considered either a suprisingly revolutionary take on offering consumer incentives, or a misguided and overpriced strategy for reinforcing his niche.
In addition to the CD, the album will come with a scale that can carry up to 500 grams and, as his promotional video brazenly suggests, can best be used to measure the weight of marijuana and other substances. The album-scale is available on Amazon for $59.99.
It is not clear if the album is available for pre-order only, as D.A.Z was scheduled for an April release.
