Nicki Minaj is releasing her very own application through iTunes as of Wednesday. The app, called “My Pink Friday” will be available to smartphones, iPods, and iPads. The application includes a “Nicktionary,” which is a resource full of Minaj-inspired definitions. The app also includes updates and an interactive calendar of the artist’s events.

Minaj is only one of several Hip Hop artists using modern trends and technology to reach fans. Jermaine Dupri officially launched his new social networking site Global14.com, which he hopes to make the “coolest, hippest city” online.

“People want to have a place where they feel like it’s a cool place and cool spot to be out as well as have conversation and really talk to each other. It took me almost five years for it to get where I am at now.”

Dupri also said that he can compete with Facebook by using his celebrity status.

Lastly, Travie McCoy will bring along Atlanta rapper Donnis and Kansas artist XV on his tour “Sgt. Schlepper’s Who Needs Hearts Club Band Tour.” Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz will also join the jaunt, which will run from March 17 to April 3.
