Wanna know what it’s like to live in 8 Mile? Well now you can own the house that Eminem and is family has lived in for many years. In an article in the Detroit Free Press, Eminem’s uncle, Todd Nelson has sold the house in Warren, Michigan to Sebastian Lucido and Roland Fraschetti for a reported $45,000.
Mr. Nelson told the newspaper, “This is a very emotional thing for me, because this house has been in our family for 50 years. I didn’t want to sell it, but I had to because my finances won’t allow me to live here any more.” Eminem, who lives in Macomb County, Michigan, was reportedly very upset when he heard of the impending sale of the house. The two-family-five bedroom home in the 8400 block of Timken Ave (near 8 Mile) was purchased by Bessi Viola Whitaker, Eminem’s grandmother in 1952.
Sebastian Lucido said, “We’d like to put the house up for sale on eBay sometime in January. I think we’ll have a minimum bid of around $120,000 — the house appraised for $91,000 — and go from there.
