In mid December DMX was sentenced to his third prison term of 2010. The Yonkers rapper was arrested on a probation violation after he was cited for use of Oxycontin without a prescription, failing to submit to a drug test, failing to participate in counseling programs, failure to make payments and driving on a suspended license.
Now Earl Simmons has been admitted to the mental health unit while in prison. On December 20 X was sent to the Flamenco Mental Health Unit inside the Alahambra Prison complex. He had been spending his time at Arizona’s Tent City, notorious for its tough conditions.
Judge Christine Mulleneaux, who sentenced X to a year inside a couple weeks ago, noted that the rapper may suffer from bi-polar disorder or some sort of mental affliction.
