What can be said about Eminem’s career in the movies other than……..it’s a hit. On it’s first weekend in theatre’s nationwide “8 Mile” raked in over $54.4 million dollars.
With that large of a weekend opening, it made “8 Mile” the second largest grossing movie opening for an R-rated movie, as well as the highest debut for a new actor. Before the movie opened this weekend, Eminem attended the premiere with his daughter Hallie and friends and family including D-12 on November 7th. Although he covered her eyes during the part when his character Jimmy Smith Jr. also known as B.Rabbit has sex with Brittany Murphy, a good time was said to be had by all in attendance. There are currently no plans for Eminem to reprise his role.
