After holding the freestyle championship on BET’s popular television music show ‘106 & Park’, Jin the twenty-year old Asian American rapper is planning to make his mark in the entertainment industry. Signing a record deal with the Ruff Ryders record label earlier this year seems to be just the tip of the iceberg for Jin.

Recently Jin has landed a role in ‘The Fast and the Furious 2’, to play a character named Jimmy who works in Tej’s (played by dirty south rapper Ludacris) auto mechanic shop. I am a huge fan of the first one, so I couldn’t believe it; not only did I win the role I read for, but they made the part bigger just for me,” Jin said. Jin will also be costarring with Tyrese and Paul Walker. Directing the second installment of movie will be John Singleton of ‘Boyz In the Hood’ and ‘Baby Boy’ fame.

Always supporting their artists, Ruff Ryder’s Waah Dean said, “Jin is practically unknown in the industry and he won a role in The Fast and the Furious 2. It just proves that he is the next big thing in hip hop and that he appeals to the masses. He’s a natural entertainer”. Jin is also in the studio working on his first studio album with the likes of Styles P, Eve, DMX, Jadakiss and Swizz Beatz making guest appearances on the album. With a busy schedule like Jin’s, it’s hard to believe this has all happen in a year! To check out some tracks by Jin visit HollaFRONT.cjb.net.
