Beginning the first of a series of benefits concerts to help support the Artists Empowerment Coalition (AEC), concert goers got a big show on October 28th! AEC is not profit group of artists who work to improve the relationship with the companies that market their work.

With host Free of ‘106 & Park’(who now has a record deal and is currently in the studio working on her album) and Doug E. Fresh the AEC decided to step out to the community with a variety of music styles. According to Billboard, DMX, Naughty By Nature and Faith Evans were just a few of the big names who performed at the Beacon Theater in New York City. Paying tribute to the much sampled Tupac, Naughty By Nature made sure to perform some of their new hits( “Feels Good”) as well as their old (“O.P.P” and “Hip-Hop Hooray”).

DMX didn’t disappoint fans who stayed for his wild style performance. Giving a hundred and ten percent every time he hits the stage, DMX performed “Party Up”, “Get At Me Dog” and “I Miss You” as well as other hits. Other artists who attended or performed were Kool Keith, Stevie Wonder and Montell Jordan (who is no longer with Def Soul Records). More concerts will be scheduled at a later date.
