Receiving an award from any respectable company is always an honor. This year two of hip-hop hottest acts have received awards from GQ Magazine’s seventh annual awards show. Ja Rule received the Musician of the Year, Solo at the Manhattan Center in New York last week. Ja Rule is currently enjoying success with his new single “Thug Lovin” , featuring R &B singer Bobby Brown.
Ja Rule will be releasing his new album “The Last Redemption” in November. You can also catch Ja Rule expanding his acting career when he hits the big screen later this year with his new movie “Half Past Dead” costarring Steven Segal, Morris Chestnut and Krupt. Outkast received the Band Men of the Year award for their music work. OutKast contributed the lead song “Land of 10 million drums” to the last “Scooby Doo” movie.
The GQ Award honors men and women who achieved great success in music, television, chef, comedians, designers and many others. You can check out the GQ awards on NBC on December 14 at 10pm.
