Currently in production is a 60 Minutes special focusing on the Jigga man himself. The once camera shy rapper will expose himself to the masses. He has granted CBS access of rare footage that should definitely be groundbreaking for hip-hop. According to sources, the segment will focus on his musical impact, community projects, and business savvy. Negotiations included that only his non-musical impact and community work never publicized be mentioned.

The project was another Def Jam guaranteed success spearheaded by Lyor Cohen. No specific date has been given for the project. However, CBS.com will be executing a major promotion of the segment. His newly owned Armadale Vodka campaign is also in the works. Distribution is now in Miami, Los Angeles, and New York. In addition, deals are being aggressively negotiated in attempts of expansion into other markets.

In other Jay-Z news, Roc-A-Fella has made a few notable changes. Post September 11 projects throughout the industry have been adjusted; the Roc is not immune to this. The Harlem ‘Diplomats’ album has been pushed back for the heavy promotional tactics geared toward the Paid In Full soundtrack (end of October release). The group’s album will now drop in February. This would also give the label time to delete some possible offensive lyrics referring to Mohammed Atta and the crew nicknamed ‘The Taliban.’ Also, don’t forget the M.O.P. negotiations.
