With the accomplishment of producers putting out their personal projects, DJ Premier is next in line. Primo has signed with Terror Squad Records, which is distributed by Atlantic Records, to put out a compilation of his own. The album will contain both Hip-Hop and R&B tracks and should see possible release in early 2002. It is still in the idea stage and no guests or appearances have been announced.
In addition, Primo is back in the studio with Guru to start working on the next Gangstarr album. Guru said that only three songs are recorded and they hope to recruit D’Angelo, Aaliyah and Snoop Dogg to make contributions on the projects. Currently untitled, the new album should hit stores early next year.
