Alicia Keys will be holding her seventh annual Black Ball charity event this September, and has invited two huge musical guests to headline. Rapper Jay-Z and newly-returned singer Sade are on the bill to help Keys raise awareness for HIV and AIDS.
“[Sade and Jay-Z] are both icons and both major influences of mine,” Keys said in a statement this past week. “I am overwhelmed by their generosity in helping us continue the tradition of making the Black Ball the best fundraiser in NYC. There are more surprises coming up!”
The event, which raises funds for Keys’ Keep A Child Alive charity, will help provide treatment and care for families who are suffering or have been affected by HIV and AIDS in parts of Africa and India. The Black Ball will be held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York at the end of September.
