Although Arizona may be getting more strict with their immigration laws, Lil Wayne doesn’t have much to complain about, as the rapper has been given probation for a drug possession charge.
According to Reuters, Weezy was able to avoid jail time in Arizon due to a plea deal, which required him to plead guilty to one count of possession of a dangerous drug. Three other drug and weapons charges were dropped.
Wayne appeared in court via video conference from New York, where he is currently serving a year-long sentence for attempted criminal possession of a weapon.
“We’re quite glad that we were able to wrap everything up,” said James Tilson, Wayne’s attorney. “It’s a favorable plea agreement that will allow Mr. Carter to pursue his career.”

The probation, which lasts three years, will begin after his New York sentence ends.
