Black Eyed Peas front-man will.i.am is the latest Hip Hop artist to receive a coveted Hollywood “Walk of Fame” star. The multi-platinum emcee and producer will be the latest since Diddy, who received a star in 2007, says Rap Radar.
At present, no dates have been set for the ceremony. Black Eyed Peas’ latest album, The E.N.D., remains on the charts for over one year, scanning upwards of 2.5 million units sold. The Interscope Records album has two of the five all-time most digitally downloaded songs in “I Gotta Feeling” and “Boom Boom Pow.”
In his nearly 20-year career, will has worked with artists such as Eazy E, Nas, Game and underground acts such as Blood of Abraham. Will also has released two solo albums.
The Los Angeles group is said to be at work on an E.N.D. sequel.
