In an interview with XXLMag.com posted yesterday morning, New Orleans emcee Jay Electronica revealed that after working with Just Blaze and Hi-Tek already, the album-less emcee has been taking beat submissions and sharing studio time with several Rap veterans.
Included on the list is legendary Gang Starr producer DJ Premier, who’s worked with the likes of Bun B, Joell Ortiz and Kanye West this year. Self-Scientific’s DJ Khalil, an Aftermath producer, was also mentioned as well as Swizz Beatz and Florida-based Rick Ross hitmen, The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. Jay, who was long believed to have been signed to Decon Records, but since declared his free agency, told XXL that he’s been both in the studio with some of these producers, but that there have also been satelite sessions.
