As of 2011, Macy’s will be the only retailers to carry Sean John Clothing. The brand, founded by Sean “Diddy” Combs, entered an exclusive deal this week with the department store giant.

“I got my start at Macy’s when I was 16 [years old], selling shirts and ties,” Combs told The New York Post in an interview yesterday, adding that he had worked at the New Rochelle, New York store. “To come full circle like this is a dream come true.”

Diddy reportedly has done over $1 billion in sales of Sean John clothing through Macy’s stores. The Bad Boy Records founder added that he watched the success of Tommy Hilfiger Clothing through a previous exclusive deal, and began talks with Macy’s two years ago.
