According to PrefixMag.com, John Legend is enlisting the creativity of The Roots for his fourth album, Wake Up Sessions. Roots drummer ?uestlove recently announced that he and his bandmates will produce not only a few songs on the LP, but the entire album. This is not the first time Legend has collaborated with Hip Hop artists in producing his albums’ music. The Soul and R&B singer has produced with Kanye West, will.i.am, and The Neptunes.
Legend’s third studio album, Evolver released to mixed reviews, but topped the Billboard R&B and Hip Hop charts at No. 1. Although there is currently no release date for the collaborative effort, Wake Up Sessions, it is expected that the album will drop sometime this year.
