December 4th will mark the second-year anniversary of rapper Pimp C‘s death. This year, the date will signify the first-annual Chad “Pimp C” Butler Hip Hop & Health Fair, put on by the late rapper’s wife Chinara Butler. To keep his legacy alive, the health fair will raise awareness of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases to youth who lack the resources to get tested. The fair will also provide information about drug abuse and prevention.
Held in Port Arthur, Texas, the fair will have in attendance the Port Arthur Health Department, who will be giving free vaccinations as well as providing other health services. There will be a $5 donation at the door and a canned food drop box.
The event will also include an emcee battle for those who take an HIV/STD test. The winner will take home $1,000. Celebrity performers have not yet been announced.
The Chad “Pimp C” Butler Hip Hop & Health Fair will be held on Dec. 4 at the Port Arthur Pavilion from 6-10.
