Fellow Bay Area rappers, The Jacka and Berner are teaming up for a second time to release Drought Season 2,the follow-up to the successful 2008 release, Drought Season, which hit #55 on the Hip Hop Billboard chart. The first single off of the latest compilation album, “Colder Blood,” features new artists J-Stalin and Fam Skye, while the rest of the album will include familiar names  like MessyMarv and Cellski.

This will be the Jacka‘s second project this year, already having released his fourth solo project Tear Gas in June, which received moderate reviews. The latest collaboration with San Francisco artist Berner comes right after the Jacka‘s west coast tour with Zion I. Drought Season 2 is looking at a November 17 release date.

In other news, the Ying Yang Twins recently released their seventh studio album in order to celebrate nearly 10 years since their first album. The CD, titled Legendary Status: Ying Yang Twins Greatest Hits, is a compilation of the Atlanta-based duo’s most popular radio hits, including “Wait (The Whisper Song),” “Salt Shaker,” and “Shake.”

The album includes their newest single called “Champs is Here,” and is available in stores now.
