“I Love The ‘90s Tour” To Feature Coolio, Kool Moe Dee & Vanilla Ice

Coolio, Kool Moe Dee, Vanilla Ice, Salt ’N Pepa, Tone Loc and Biz Markie are among the acts slated to appear on the “I Love The ‘90s Tour,” according to a press release.

The tour had an unofficial launch with a few shows earlier this year.

“It feels like you’re taking people back to a time in their lives that they really enjoyed,” Cheryl “Salt” James says of the tour during an interview with USA Today. “It’s just one big ’90s party.”

The line-up for the revolving cast of performers for the tour also includes All-4-One, Color Me Badd, Kid ‘N Play, Rob Base and Young MC.

Salt says she’s looking forward to being on the road with Kid ’N Play, in particular.

“They’re family,” she says. “We grew up in the same camp. Hurby “Luv Bug” [Azor] was our producer. We hang out with them. [Christopher “Kid” Reid] is hilarious: keeps us cracking up and keeps us going, so it’s fun being able to hang with all the boys.”

The 29-city tour is set to launch April 15 at the Bon Secour Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. Additional dates are likely being added to the tour, which, at press time, is set to wrap October 20 at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Virginia. 1. yo Coolio if you read this, get rid of the braids man, they make you look like a silly crackhead.

    2. More like the late 80s to early 90s tour. I’d go for real if I was back in the U.S. just to remember my elementary days listening to Power 106 in L.A.

    3. for a tour named “I Love The 90s” this line-up doesn’t satisfy… Vanilla Ice, c’mon y’all can do better than this.
