Following months of promo, undefeated world champion boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather and UFC Lightweight champion Conor McGregor finally jumped in the ring on Saturday night (August 26) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
After a brief delay due to unforeseen production issues, the first round eventually kicked off shortly after midnight EST.
McGregor hung in for 10 exhaustive rounds, but Mayweather emerged victorious with a technical K.O. after the referee stepped in to stop the savage beating.
Mayweather’s record is now 50-0.
Many Hip Hop heavyweights took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the fight, including Sean “Diddy” Combs, Snoop Dogg, Krayzie Bone, Pharoahe Monch, MC Ren, Questlove, Fashawn, Talib Kweli, N.O.R.E., Gift of Gab and Immortal Technique.

I love Floyd as a boxer, he’s one of my top 3 favorites ever but as a man he has proven to be a piece of shit. I was torn in this fight because I dislike Conor as a fighter but outside the ring/octagon he has proven to be an overall good dude and class act. I also thought this was a BS way to get to 50-0 so part of me wanted Floyd to get KO’d.
