Hip Hop Honors A$AP Yams On 2nd Anniversary Of His Death

A$AP Yams lives on in the memory of many as today (January 18) marks the second anniversary of his passing.

The A$AP Mob founder died in 2015 of a drug overdose, but the Harlem group has made sure his legacy continues, especially through the Yams Day celebration and the Cozy Tapes Vol. 1 album, which was HipHopDX’s #18 album of 2016.

A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Nast, A$AP Twelvyy and A$AP Ant all paid tribute to their leader, born Steven Rodriguez, on Twitter as they prepared for the second Yams Day concert tonight.

Many more in Hip Hop paid their respects to the man who always kept the internet on its toes and whose impact is still being felt.

    1. I’m sure he was a good manager but damn, he’s fucking overrated. And all this shit with death cult is annoying. RIP but we need living musicians (I mean rappers) who make the news.

    2. Honor him for what? Overdosing on drugs? Remember when he died them A$AP niggas was quick to run around telling every media how it definitely wasn’t drugs. Then the toxicology report come out and sure enough it was drugs and these niggas looked like clowns for lying. Fuck this purple shit stain face nigga and everything he stood for. Fuck him up his fuckin ass.
