Tha Carter IV, which features the likes of Tech N9ne, Andre 3000 and Nas, sold another 219,000 units in its second week, crossing the just-missed million-mark. The work joins Wayne’s 2010 I Am Not A Human Being on the charts, as well as Cash Money/Young Money label releases from Drake, Nicki Minaj and DJ Khaled.
Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch The Throne fell just one spot to #5. The work could score a platinum plaque by month’s end, which has become a standard for both artists.
Jay’s wife Beyonce and her 4 also fell just one spot – to #8. The pregnant Pop/R&B superstar’s fourth solo offering features an appearance by Outkast’s Andre 3000, along with production from Kanye West and his production team – including Jeff Bhasker, as well as a writing credit to former G.O.O.D. Music artist Consequence.
French deejay/producer David Guetta‘s fifth album Nothing But The Beat fell 12 spots to #17. The EMI Records star, who made a United States splash by producing with will.i.am on The Black Eyed Peas’ 2009 The E.N.D. multi-platinum album, released his Hip-Hop-inspired Dance album. Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Flo Rida and Timbaland are among the guests. The album sits at 75,000 overall units.
Game slipped out of the Top 10 with his R.E.D. Album. The Aftermath Entertainment/Interscope Records star fell 10 spots last week. R.E.D. features 2011 sensations Tyler, The Creator, Kendrick Lamar and Lex Luger, along with album narration by Game’s mentor, Dr. Dre.

Def Jam Records emcee Ace Hood‘s third album Blood Sweat & Tears fell out of the Top 100. The Florida native, who participated in this week’s #MaddenBattle with HipHopDX, crossed the 50,000 mark on an album that boasts production from J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and Lex Luger, along with appearances by Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and Yo Gotti.

I dont care how much Wayne sold in the first week, dropping 77% to the next week is HORRIBLE, especially for Hip Hop albums, which usually drop off around 60% from week 1 to week 2.
As far as Watch the Throne, I say it’s doing good for an album that only has 1 single out (and even that one single is not really radio-friendly, since it’s just rappers trading verses, no hook at all, and not a bunch of synthesizers for beats).
Next week predictions: The Carter IV gonna sell around 112,000 and WTT gonna sell around 31,000
