Despite Moneybagg Yo’s connection to a recent New Jersey Turnpike shooting, the Memphis rapper still has a reason to celebrate. The Yo Gotti affiliate’s new mixtape, Federal 3X, has made its Billboard 200 debut at #5 for the week ending August 17.
With 29,923 total album equivalent units sold, 13,570 pure album sales and a streaming count of 23,114,058, the project was able to beat out albums by SZA, 21 Savage and Meek Mill.
Meanwhile, Khalid’s R&B masterpiece, American Teen, continues to skyrocket up the chart, hitting #4 in its 24th week on the chart. Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. is also still hanging tough at #2.
Moneybagg Yo Scores First Top 10
After releasing 2 Federal with Yo Gotti in November 2016, the CMG artist returned with Federal 3X last week. The project has made its grand entrance at #5, which marks the first time he’s ever broken into the Top 10.
American Teen Living The American Dream
El Paso, Texas R&B sensation Khalid released his debut album, American Teen, on March 3 and 24 weeks later, the album has peaked at #4. Last week, the project was in the #10 slot. Consequently, the new position marks a 17 percent jump. The album has sold 31,521 total equivalent units, 5,657 pure albums and has collected a streaming count of 33,530,283.
4:44 Continues To Lose Steam
JAY-Z’s 13th studio album, 4:44, has fallen another four slots this week, landing at #15. Since its initial chart-topping debut in June, the album has continued to slide. In its second week, it hit #5 and then plummeted to the #11 slot in its third week.
With 20,777 total album equivalent units sold, 11,819 pure album sales and a streaming count of 12,011,465, it wasn’t enough to reenter the Top 1o.

Proof that nobody actually purchased Jay album. #Overrated
There’s a lot of fishiness to Moneybagg’s numbers. There’s no physical CD/vinyl available, yet, it sold more than any other album Physically. That would mean that people purchased the Album Download, instead of streaming it? That’s impossible for this type of artist. 21 Savage, who is much more of a name, and had a huge first week, didn’t have that ratio. There’ s a cheat code in the water for damn sure!
YEAH..MAN.. WELL SAID//////PLUS HE WANTED FOR A SHOOTING////SUDDENLY//////////WEIRD SHIT HAPPENIN
