Gucci Mane’s Short Film “The Spot” Finally Sees Light Of Day

Before Gucci Mane was locked up in prison or had developed a six-pack, the Atlanta trap music king had already wrapped up The Spot, a 2015 project intended to serve as the soundtrack for a movie of the same name. Due to Guwop’s legal entanglements and subsequent “summer vacation” at an Indiana federal prison, however, that idea was shelved — until now.

Starring his soon-to-be-wife Keyshia Ka’oir, Rocko and of course, Gucci, The Spot appears to follow in the footsteps of films like 1971’s Shaft or 1998’s I Got The Hook-Up with Master P. Beginning with a robbery, the film also involves a shady CD-slinging street psychic, seedy ring of criminals, car-loving gangsters, a kidnapping, hit men and more criminal debauchery.

Directed by Gucci and Mr. Boomtown, The Spot clocks in at nearly 47 minutes and may provide a little insight into his future as an actor. For now, the Drop Top Wop mastermind is probably still basking in the glory of his wildly productive past year and meteoric rise to fame.

La Flare just popped up in Mike WiLL Made-It’s tripped out video, “Perfect Pint,” earlier this week alongside Kendrick Lamar and Rae Sremmurd.

Watch the film above and revisit The Spot mixtape below.
