The three other officers involved in the police killing of 46-year-old George Floyd will reportedly face charges. According to a tweet from Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison has also upgraded Derek Chauvin’s charge from third-degree murder to second-degree murder.
“Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is increasing charges against Derek Chauvin to 2nd degree in George Floyd’s murder and also charging other 3 officers,” she wrote. “This is another important step for justice.”
After speaking to JAY-Z, Governor Tim Walz announced Ellison had taken over Floyd’s case from Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman.
The former Democratic congressman previously said he had “every expectation” charges will be filed against the officers and evidently, he was correct. The official announcement from Ellison is expected to arrive on Wednesday afternoon (June 3).

Chauvin, who is the officer seen kneeling on Floyd’s neck in the viral video, was initially arrested charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter while Officers Thomas Lane and J.A. Keung, who helped restrain Floyd, and a fourth officer, Tou Thao, who stood near the others, remained free.
A second, independent autopsy commissioned by the Floyd family ruled Floyd’s death was a homicide by asphyxia.

Charged does not mean convicted. This will sit for a year or two and when there is another crisis everyone’s weak attention span is drawn to Chauvin will be convicted of manslaughter not murder and the other three cops will walk free. This happens with 9/10 of the cops who are “charged” for murdering black men and women.
Nothing makes anyone happy. You have to build a case. What more do you want? Everything you’re saying has real basis other than what you’re told. Bet you support the riots. Not so much the peaceful protest. Kind of hard to be empathetic when all people want to do is destroy property and people who have nothing to do with this.
Reading your response makes me disappointed in your thought process. You probably dismiss evidence of human impact on climate change as.. just what people are told as well? Go read on the status of every officer charged for killing unarmed black people and how those cases ended. Open your mind to the truth, try enlightenment instead of blind ignorance.

I think the defense attorneys are going to say that the police officer did not actually kill him. Not that him being held down with a knee on his neck helped, but maybe aided in his death. Official government autopsy says he did not die from the knee. They had a private autopsy that said he died from the knee. If they get off Then people are really going to go crazy.
