Eminem caught his fans off guard on Thursday night (August 30) when he dropped a new album out of the blue. He broke the news on Twitter and included a link to the project in the caption.
“Tried not 2 overthink this 1…enjoy,” he wrote. “#KAMIKAZE Out Now.”
Executive produced by Dr. Dre and Slim Shady, Kamikaze boasts 13 new tracks and features Joyner Lucas, Royce Da 5’9 and singer Jessie Reyez.
On Thursday afternoon, Shady teased his involvement in the upcoming Venom film but there was no indication a full project was coming. But alas, here it is.

Dude rapping about shooting ppl in the “Venom” song but a few months ago he cucked out and did a NRA diss track (and who TF even does that?). I like the production (of what I’ve heard so far) a lot better than what I heard on Revival, but I can’t take Em seriously anymore. And there’s still no Alchemist beats. That’s his DJ and one of the greatest beat makers in the industry.
Then don’t take him serious.. nobody cares
Hell, if he REALLY liked Alchemist’s beat that much… He would use his production. But as it turns out, his beats are nothing special. Yeah, he picks great samples and mixes them together well – but that’s about it. Even Em himself can make a better beat than his DJ, and Em is not even that good producer after all.
Infinitely better than Revival. Better flows, better beats.
Now this is a decent album!

Jay-Z is nicer than ever. People are just uncomfortable with his success and power. It sounds simple, but it’s true. I’m a Hiphop traditionalist through and through, but I believe in being totally objective about an MC regardless of their stature. Jay-Z is still super nice. He got loose on that Carter’s album, whether you like it or not. He represents the culture well and people will appreciate him a great deal more when he’s gone and some ignorant man-child is the new ‘leader’ of HipHop. Peace.

This album is so fire. I really hope the hip hop community appreciate it for how good it actually is… much needed return after how much of a flop Revival was. Hopefully it will help inspire more artists to venture away from this wave of lazy ‘mumble’ rap and actually release some solid material that isn’t just a fad. I must say this album is one of his better ones in years. First of all the lyrics are great. He is doing is own flow and clowning everyone else’s flow while actually rhyming. This is not an album for the club’s or radio. So you won’t get those bulls*** club beats for partying. This is a throwback to substance and realness.
