Eazy-E’s Daughter Says Ice Cube Is ‘Ducking’ Her Over Documentary About Her Legendary Father

Eric “Eazy-E” Wright passed away in March 1995, bringing his journey to a cruel and sudden end. Naturally, the N.W.A legend’s daughter Ebie Wright wants to bring his story to the big screen with a documentary about his life. But she’s having trouble wrangling one of Eazy-E’s most important collaborators — Ice Cube.

In a recent interview with Too Fab, Wright admitted her father’s fellow N.W.A pioneer has been avoiding her, explaining, “There’s so many people that are talking on this about my father and are in support of what I’m doing, and have been there for me, and just have a lot of great things to say about him, and not just even great things, but also just telling their story… what they know, what they’ve seen, their relationship with my father. How he paved the way for them, opened many doors for them.

“The only thing I will say honestly, is probably the only person that actually matters to this story I’m telling, who hasn’t talked on it so far, I’m just being completely honest … is Ice Cube.

Wright then claimed Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson even told her his father was on board.

“You know, it really breaks my heart that he hasn’t spoken on this yet because I grew up with his sons and I have a really good relationship with them,” she added. “He actually told me that Ice Cube was willing. He was gonna do whatever for me and he was down. Since then, when we tried to book him to do the interview, he’s been ducking and dodging.”

Ice Cube has spoken about Eazy-E and his N.W.A days in numerous interviews, so Wright is understandably confused over the perceived disinterest. Wright’s documentary project, titled A Ruthless Scandal: No More Lies, explores the conspiracy theory Eazy-E was actually murdered instead of losing his battle with AIDS. The doc’s overarching intention is to prove he was killed, while also implicating people in his death.

As Wright explains in the trailer, she’s been working on the film with her mother Tracy and sister Erica for many years. Within the first two minutes of the clip, Wright questions why there was “so much cover up” surrounding his death. She says Eazy-E was diagnosed with AIDS (not HIV) three weeks before he died. He was then placed in isolation immediately upon arrival at the hospital and not allowed to see family or friends.

Too $hort Is Out Here Telling People Eazy-E Didn't Die From AIDS

A lawyer he’d had for only two months then drew up a living trust while Eazy was on his death bed and two days later, a “secret wedding” took place. Then, she says his entire estate was looted while he laid in a coma.

Audio of N.W.A’s former manager, the late Jerry Heller, is heard in the trailer as well and he says he finds it impossible Eazy-E died so quickly from AIDS. So far, Wright hasn’t confirmed a release date for the project. Until then, check out the Kickstarter trailer below.

    1. Not many people know this, but me and E were supposed to work together before he passed. He did let me handle his communications to the press while he was on his deathbed.

    2. She is going to the wrong person. Cube want’s a certain Narrative to live on. Bigging up Eazy don’t work for him. He’ll give Eazy his props here and there in interviews. But he’ll never do anything to push Eazy’s Legacy unless it benefits him in a extreme finacial gain. They made sure not to give Eazy too much credit for NWA success in the movie. Also Eazy owned Ruthless, why was something so important and major like that not mentioned in the movie A kid from compton that hustled in the Streets now was the owner and founder of Ruthless Records. They made it look like Eazy was done after Dre left, and he was so sad that they were doing so well and he wasn’t. Poor Eazy begging for Dre to come back and can’t get into Ice Cube section at the Tunnell club in NY, downsizing houses, EVEN THOUGH the Mansion he had was foreclose in 2012, So apparently he still had a mansion until the time of his death. They tried to play Eazy in that movie, why not show the last deal he did that was worth like 30-40 million???? they gloss over like it wasn’t nothing, Cube and Dre are super talented, but it’s funny how they wanted to show their successes toward the end of the Movie but not Eazy’s but they’ll make excuses like oh we couldn’t fit everything in the movie, but you can put in Dre beating up a blood in a room full of bloods? or Ice Cube throwing hands with Ruthless cats , yall can show d.o.c bumping into Eazy and looking down on him. Them trying to make E look broke was funny bc I think E was more finacial well off than everybody in N.W.A combine until he passed. Everybody know Tomica was scandelous, he prob had no intention on gettin married, they forced and forged that marriage he wasn’t even conscious to even to agree. I like E.B she been out here for a long time doing her thing and repping for her dad and siblings but she gotta be smarter about how she move, the people she be contacting to get something done for her dad will be the ones shutting it down. Go put together a good team and do it yourself your already know the people that are willng to be involved. Their are family member, friends he grew up, Former Ruthless artist, producers, executives that are willng to be involved and speak. Ice cube is not needed, also it’s his right to decline being involved. Don’t complain about the ones that don’t want to do it, just work with the ones that do. She’s been trying to get something done for like 10-11 years, I hope she can get something done, Tomica not going to give her the rights to use anything though, Tomica blocks them kids every chance she can to keep them from gaining any financial benefits from the dads name. E.B going to have to move more efficient, low key and smarter to get something done. They took Eazy out, stole everything, it was a group effort. They always under estimated him they thought he would go away quietly Comton city G’s with Bg knoccout made too much noise, signing Bone Thugs and them selling 3 million out the gate gave E his leverage and power back.

      1. So Bush had him killed 8 years after that song came out, despite the fact Cube wrote most of it and Clinton was president in 1993? You moron….

    3. Without saying names certain people should have been more vocal when it came to the company. Tomika from a foster home. She cut the kids out with no Vaseline. Ran the company till the door closed. Still holding on for every penny she can get. But her two kids are living swell. But its whatever. Most of Eazy’s baby mama was groupies. Tomike was a save a hoe.

    4. Eazy E never got his credit for being one of the first moguls in Rap. Along with guys like Russ Simmons. I always thought his death was even sadder than big and pac, because of the unknown and shadyness and the possibility that certain people around him might have had something to do with his demise.
