N.E.R.D made its official return after seven years with No_One Ever Really Dies, an 11-track project featuring notable artists like M.I.A and Kendrick Lama. Both are featured on the album highlight “Kites,” which tops HipHopDX’s Spotify #DXHitList.
Also included on this week’s #DXHitList is Trippie Redd’s new slap “Dark Knight Dummo” featuring Travis Scott. The single takes production from Honorable C.N.O.T.E and is one of many fire collaborations the Ohio native has been attached to this year. He’s been featured on “Ill Nana” with D.R.A.M. and also has a joint mixtape with Lil Wop titled Angels and Demons. In May, he dropped the A Love Letter to You EP, which peaked at #84 on the Billboard Hot 200.
G-Eazy’s The Beautiful & Damned also dropped Friday (December 15), and while the Bay Area native has been doing numbers with the A$AP Rocky and Cardi B-assisted “No Limit,” his song “The Plan” has been bubbling on the charts as well.
Blossoming Atlanta talent Yung Nudy, Houston’s Dice Soho and Compton and California’s own AD are also included on the #DXHitList as well as the official remix to Tay-K’s “The Race” featuring 21 Savage.
