Dr. Dre Confirms Release Date For Eminem’s “Revival”

After weeks of seemingly endless speculation, Emimen’s Revival finally has an official release date.

Dr. Dre, Slim Shady’s mentor and longtime collaborator/producer, announced the news via Twitter on Tuesday (November 28) with a video featuring “Trevor for Revival.”

During the clip, the chipper Trevor announces the release date is officially December 15.

“Use as prescribed by your doctor. @Eminem,” Dre captioned the video.

Revival‘s release date was initially rumored to be November 27, but that day passed without a new Em album and his fans were understandably disappointed. HITS Daily Double, which predicted the original November date, came back again with a new date — December 8 — but that was evidently incorrect as well.

Check out Dre’s video above and stay tuned for Revival‘s arrival on December 15.

    1. This album will be straight garbage. I stop listening to M’s commercial shit along time ago. Basically, there is no difference between M and macklemore. I hate hip pop music. Long Live Hip Hop Music Forever, Motherfockers!

      1. Commercial? Unless you bumping infinite. Everything after that is Em at commercial. Do you not remember the late 90s? If you think there’s no difference tell who ever you think is the best now to mention Em in a rap.

        1. Em is the beatbox lyricist…. but the music sucks now. Beats sucks. The hooks suck. The flow is choppy. If you think he’s as good at making music as he once was, your kidding yourself.

        2. The name is African, buddy! I’m an african-american and proud of it. I’m from the original people on the planet earth. Have a good day!

      2. Exactly. He just sounds like Macklemore now, I’d sadly say Macklemore sounds better now. Why is he lowering himself to doing music with the likes of Skylar Grey and even that retarded c.unt Pink. People talk about Snoop saying he should have just retired, but Em definitely should have. Dude is just an embarrassment now making gay pop music, he’s ruined his legacy. This direction he took is some straight up queer shit. I’m 99% certain this album will be pure trash. I can’t even listen to most of his old shit because I know what he’s like now, smfh.

    2. Sure, he makes commercial rap and he’s not heavy controversial anymore (we need Guilty Conscious 2), but he’s still talented.

        1. His main problem recently is that he tried to broaden his scope in terms of production. It’s understandable to want to branch out, but he was far better when the Bass Brothers and Dre produced his songs. Not that ALL the other albums are bad, but sticking to one or two producers really helps an artists focus on the feel and subject matter of an album.

    3. This washed up has been should just quit. He’s completely ruining his entire legacy with this cultural marxist social justice warrior bullshit.

    4. Eminem is managed by a jevvish man Paul Rosenberg. So yeah, of course we are gonna hear him speak out against white people.. Jevvs hate white people remember.

    5. He just did a radio interview with Alchemist. If there is just one Alchemist beat on the album I will be happy and consider it a win. ALC has been taking for underground shit for years, and has been Em’s dj, yet they only collaborated one time on Alchemist album and it was during Em’s accent phase.

      1. Well, the reason for that obviously is that not even Em can stand Alc’s beats! Otherwise we would’ve gotten many albums by Em and Alc. Thank god, he doesn’t use his beats! Even his own beats are better.

      2. I meant to say “making dope underground shit” not “taking for” but I didn’t proofread my phone comment. Oops.
Anyway, you dudes don’t know shit about for hip hop. All three Gangrene albums with ALc behind the boards are dope as hell. Prodigy’s (rip) best solo albums were fully produced by ALC. What could you possibly hate about him so much?

    6. Yo why diz pop star rnb azz hook mark bein covered hea in HIP HIZZOP DEEEX??..

AINT NOBODI BUT GAY AZZ DUDES TRYIN TA LISTEN TA DIZ WASH UP FA660T DOE.

AINT HE LIEK 45??? OLD AZZ STILL TRYNTA RIZZAP DOE, FUCC ALL WITE BOIS DAT DISS BLACC RAPPAZ OVA 40 BUT GID DIZ FA660T A PASS CUH HE WITE REAL SPIT DOE.

        1. It’s hard for me to even leave out the dots, commas and the most basic stuff you’re taught the very first few years in school. My brain would explode if I ever tried to go that retard and write like BigDin did. It’s okay to go crazy sometimes, but you know… There are limits!

    7. Visually, this has to be the worst promotion for an album. A medicine infomercial?? horrible idea. nothing appealing about it. Keep it HIP HOP man, stop glorifying drugs already.

      1. Unless there is a heavy dose of Dr Dre beats on it hence the wordplay of it being medicine from a Dr… thats me wishful thinking

    8. Who gives a flying fuck about Eminem now days? Em turned his back on his original fans who made him what he became. Fuck you too em….you sold out!!!

    9. ” nobody cares about Eminem, he’s washed up ” – Clicking on every Eminem article and comments about it… Like If nobody cares nobody would post a comment. But you do care and you give him attention.

    10. WOW, is it me or are most comments here writen by fukkin retards? If you think he is washed up, fine! Then bring some facts to the table why. Don´t the american highschools and colleges teach you to reason? Stop writing stupid dumb unter cerebral comments and handel with reason, fukk. Write something like, I don´t like Eminem anymore because is ground breaking rhyme flow does not fit my picture of connecting words within their meening basis and my encephalic reciptive perceptive is not compatible within…or keep flipping burger as BK and shut the fukk up…yeezes….

      1. Retards r far more inspiring people if u don’t mind…they battle adversity everyday of they life…u talk shit on ur computer. So much 4 ur college education. And Eminem washed up fo pandering to tha mainstream…there’s ur reason.

    11. I have actually said the same thing. No Apologies was the last song he did where he was the Eminem from his prime, although there have been returns to form here and there, specifically when Mariah pissed him off and he did that pointless “Warning” song. That was the same year Relapse came out, but when he got the edge back from being pissed off it was glorious, and I got more gratification from that song alone than the entire relapse. I’m not counting on any of those tracks being on Revival, it’ll be a miracle just to have one.

      1. Shut the fuck up idiot, we don’t need you racist bullshit in our culture we are better than that so don’t try to bring us down with that fuckery. Music is universal, All cultures are represented in all types of music.

    12. He will only sell a lot based on the fact he is white and his past. After relapse eminem has fallen off badly. He crawls to popstars like rihanna and pink for hits. Washed up hasbin should quit.

      1. How come Macklemore, G-Eazy, Mac Miller and MGK don’t sell even a third as much as Eminem does? They’re all white. Most big name rap artists have been featuring popstars tho. Kendrick Lamar featured Rihanna on his DAMN. album, and he was also featured on a Taylor Swift song. Gucci Mane even stooped low enough to be featured on a Fifth Harmony song LMAO.

    13. His last few albums have been wack. He needs a new direction of music making. He’s like tech9 now, talented but not connecting..

    14. Look up “Ground Hog day” and “Don’t Front” from MMLP2 they’re bonus tracks. Then look up “Fine Line” and “Right for Me” from Shady XV. Then look up “Medicine Man” from Compton. Then look up “Almost Famous” from Recovery. There’s a few real dope ones on Relapse. Let me know what you think…
