Diddy‘s legal tussle with federal prosecutors continues to heat up as the Bad Boy boss has accused the government of “spying” on him while he’s been locked up in jail.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, Puffy claims that the feds have infringed upon his constitutional rights and hindered his ability to prepare for his upcoming trial.

According to Diddy, the government obtained his confidential communications with his lawyers through a raid on his jail cell, while staff at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn have been monitoring all of his communications with attorneys.

The mogul further claims that the jail passed on materials to prosecutors, which they then used to bolster their case for why he shouldn’t be released on bail.

Diddy, who is awaiting trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, specifically cites a picture allegedly taken by a staff member at the jail, which was then apparently sent to prosecutors.

He also says the raid on his cell was done under a false pretense, calling it “a ruse to surreptitiously spy on Mr. Combs’ defense camp.”

Diddy’s filing also claims that the person who raided his cell lied about where they found his legal notes. It was claimed that the documents were found on his bunk, but Diddy insists they were kept in his locker.

The government has yet to issue a response to the claims.

It was previously ruled that prosecutors needed to “get rid” of the documents obtained in the search until the judge presiding over the case decided on how they could be used.

The prosecution previously denied that the search was illegal or that they improperly seized materials from Diddy’s cell.

Meanwhile, Diddy’s lawyers are also arguing against his restricted access to a laptop while behind bars.

HipHopDX obtained a letter from the mogul’s lawyers to the judge on Wednesday (December 4), in which they accuse prosecutors and the jail of withholding his computer.

“Two months after he was charged and detained, on November 25, 2024, the government provided the MDC with a laptop that Mr. Combs can use to review discovery, take notes related to his case, and otherwise assist in his defense,” the document reads.

“In the nine days since then, Mr. Combs has still not been provided with the laptop despite numerous inquiries by defense counsel.”

The filing goes on to say that government and MDC lawyers said they’d give it to Diddy, but only during particular times, which his defense claims is a restriction no other inmate faces and that there is “no justification” for.

They also accuse the jail of letting the prosecution know who has been visiting Diddy alongside his attorneys — including “potential experts and investigators.”

“There is no conceivable reason why the government should know who and when Mr. Combs meets with in connection with his legal defense,” they argue.

“Accordingly, we respectfully request that the Court direct the MDC to (1) provide Mr. Combs with the laptop that has been prepared and provided by the government, and to allow him to use it in the unit; and (2) cease sending the government copies of attorney visitation forms.”
