Denzel Curry Announces Album Delay: “You Can’t Rush Art”

Denzel Curry has announced a delay for his much-anticipated album, Taboo. The rapper didn’t share any information on when the project will be done or what’s causing the wait.

“Update taboo is not dropping this month,” he tweeted on Monday (December 4). “You can’t rush art if I give y’all it when it’s not perfect y’all be quick to call it trash so wait. You’ll know when it’s coming.”

The 22-year-old rapper has been teasing the tentative release of the album since April, with several specific tweets posted over the last month implying it was coming soon. Fans have already heard two singles off the forthcoming project — “Skywalker” and “Sumo” featuring Ski Mask the Slump God.

Curry released a five-track EP titled 13 in June and was more recently in the spotlight after fans pointed out Jaden Smith’s album, SYRE, allegedly bit his work. Curry addressed this in a since-deleted tweet, stating, “Wouldn’t be the first time someone jocked my flow, i take it with a grain of salt, and i heard the song it’s pretty straight for a first listen.”
