Tha Dogg Pound’s Daz Dillinger has linked up with Goodie Mob member Big Gipp to drop a collaborative album titled A.T.L.A. The veteran rappers first announced the LP in late 2017 yet have delivered it almost three years later.
The duo’s nine-track project marks Gipp’s return following a lengthy absence in terms of albums. The Dungeon Family MC’s Daz collab is his first studio release since Goodie Mob’s Age Against The Machine LP, which came out in 2013.

they could’ve kept this. don’t sound like Daz or Big Gipp
Daz went to complete shit. Sad to think, considering what he used to contribute to Death Row Records. Daz pretty much crafted the Death Row sound, but became a complete has been, making generic, crappy sounds. As soon as Nate Dogg passed, none of them could make a semi decent song ever again, because Nate Dogg wouldve never sounded dated or bad.
But he likes to say Dr. Dre took his style and his credit nah Homie you needed Dr. Dre to give you credit e.g. Dr. Dre mixing Fogg Food… DJ Quik mixing All Eyes on Me…. Please note how is production value dropped after the two men disappeared
I loved the Dogg Pound but Daz never really had much business rapping in the first place. Great producer. He got by here and there with the verses but he was never a spitter.
You guys are talking out your ass. He has created a tonne of dope beats and songs over the years since the death row days. You’ve probably based your opinion on the few songs you’ve heard.
WTF happened to Cool Breeze???
While I have a empty Coke bottle up my ass, I like to spread peanut butter on my balls and let the dogs all get some… ain’t no fun.
They should have called this album the duo dust heads. Neither one of these guys were ever really talented to me. It was the people around them that lifted them up. Daz was the weakest mc on death row-dogg pound, and Gipp was easily the weakest in Goodie Mob. I gave it a chance just because the 90’s is the golden era and both of them come from that. A lot of the cats that have been in the game have dropped some great work lately like Mc Eiht, wu tang,
Stop the B.S…Don’t EVER talk down on Daz as an MC or producer. His boomin delivery makes u sit up and take notice and he practically was the Death Row sound and Gipp stamped his imprint as a member of the GM solid…
I’m a huge fan of Daz’s 90’s work but keep it real…..he’s been producing straight duds for 2 decades now….
You either haven’t listened to anything he has done or have a poor ear for beats. You telling me nothing on his many solo albums or Dogg Pound projects since 2000 bangs? Jesus!
Wrong…if u think that, u ain’t been listenin hard enough. Daz has done some crazy beats in the past 5 years. Real DPG listeners know what’s up…
Daz is a fucking legend!
Is he tho??? It’s like being part of a legendary team, every player on that team isn’t a legend, being part of a legendary movie, every character in the movie is not a legend. thats what daz was apart of something legendary, but I don’t consider him a legend. THat word is used to loosely. Same way people use loyal, love and the realist.
He is in my eyes. He has produced and been on classic projects. I rate some of his solo albums highly as I do some of his other projects. I’ve listened to almost all of his discog.
Problem is anyone that would be checking for this is likely seriously ill, old folks homes are having serious issues and in crisis with the pandemic right now.
Deveondi tries to harmlessly promote his music and you troll him. People like you should go and live by yourself somewhere so know one knows that you exist. You are the problem here, not some vets releasing an album.
Right, right. The same niggas that smoked, drank, and fucked ya moms and thus you were born
Dogg Food is in my daily playlist. Not sure about anything after that.
I spread peanut butter between my ass cheeks during the day so I always can reach for a snack
1 day at a time is a banger to me but everything at that is very generic. Gipp is horrible, should have been Kurupt on this
Daz and WC’s album from six years ago was pretty great – but oddly Daz didn’t produce much on it. To me he’s like the West Coast Havoc…like did he really produce all those bangers back in the day, or did he just have a team of hungry beat makers around him and he made a few adjustments and was the figurehead. If he did produce them himself, why did his production come to an absolute standstill in later years?
Gotta keep in mind to though WC is a high caliber spitter Gip isn’t, huge difference.
Gipp played himself with this album
I see a lot of people complaining about daz production. don’t know if he produced this album the production
is actoually ok on here to me. what happent to big gipp??? could yall imagine if it wuz cool breeze
on here istead of big gipp
