Conway The Machine still has fans waiting on his debut album for Shady Records, but he’s maintaining a steady flow of new music in the meantime. After dropping the LULU EP with Alchemist in March, the Griselda Records MC links up with producer Big Ghost LTD for a collaborative project titled No One Mourns The Wicked.
“It’s been a minute, but I’m glad the opportunity [to work with Conway] came around again,” Big Ghost tells HipHopDX. “Last time we collab’d on a project was Griselda Ghost when both Westside and Conway had yet to really receive the type of acknowledgment that they deserved.”
He adds, “Now it’s like the whole industry is trying to get a piece of what they built over the past five years. Regardless of how much has changed since the last go-round, I feel the one thing that has remained the exact same is the level of hunger and the absolute unfuckwittableness that man is capable of when he gets in front of that microphone.”

Griselda is hot right now. But shit they dropped hundreds of songs with no major mainstream hit to get them to platinum status. They need a club song to lighten up the mood. Step away from the guns drugs and killing for a song or two.
I don’t want Griselda churning out that bullshit and neither do they. Conway allegedly has something off his album that’ll speak a little more to the masses but fact is they are already mainstream, and they have a lane.
Drake and Benny are already looking to collab on a song. And Westside’s over the top charisma could land him a Hot 100 hit later. What you say is true, but they could eventually branch out further. Even our past favorites before have said the same thing in their early stages before getting their feet wet (Method Man, Talib, Nas, etc). So don’t be surprised when Griselda starts doing the same.
Talk about a fail on the album cover, isn’t that medical thing on his face like a neuro/muscular thing? On the album cover the skeleton jaw is like his mean mug face, that’s a fail because the bones havent mutated like that since its a neuro or muscular thing or some shit
You get it but don’t get it at the same time. His face isn’t contorted into a mean mug. He has a condition from being shot in his head. There’s an actual purpose for why the skull is represented that way. It’s not meant to represent what his skull actually looks like. Stop thinking so hard, album cover is dope as fuck.
Are you dumb, stupid or dumb? huh? The point obviously was that his medical condition does NOT involve his jaw bone becoming like that. So why would his skeleton be like that?
Conway be spitting but the production on his solo projects be ass. Even Lulu, Alchemist pulled out some of his worst beat and Conway said “I’ll take it”
I mean, when Alchemist has really made a solid, dope production for a whole project he was involved with…? That Prodigy collab album from years ago was the closest he has ever gotten as far as consistently good beats go. Overall dude seems to only throw a nice sample together with sub-par “boom bap” drums and calls it a day. Some people actually do like his style, but I never was a huge fan of his beats. He should’ve kept rapping and let others produce for him. Conway probably accepted the Lulu beats only because Alc’s name is popular with hiphop-heads, so he gets streams and so on. Daringer is one hell of a producer, just let that guy produce for Conway and it’ll be a lot better outcome.
Like you said many people actually like this style of beats. To be honest I really love the Lulu music. But other than that the Yacht Rock 2 is imo his best work ever, incredible oceanic type beats. It’s like a journey. I love it. And I am not even a stan. Btw guess what. The YR2 instrumental LP is also a bandcamp exclusive for a few weeks as of now. I hope this Conway the Machine joint will not follow that trend,
I never was too crazy about alchemist. No hate, dude is good at his craft, just not my style. It blew my mind when I found out he made FEAR off k dots DAMN. Best track on the album.
