Check Out The Full Credits For A Tribe Called Quest’s “We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service”

A Tribe Called Quest brought a smile to thousands of Hip Hop fans’ faces with the release of their final album, We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service yesterday (November 11).

The full credits for the LP have now been released. The project includes a sample from Black Sabbath, plenty of instrumentation from Q-Tip and contributions from DJ Scratch.

We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service is made up of all new Phife Dawg verses that were recorded before his death in March. The group was re-inspired to create after reuniting for an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last year. Guest appearances on Tribe’s swan song come from Kanye West, Consequence, Kendrick Lamar, André 3000, Busta Rhymes, Anderson .Paak and Elton John.

Tribe is celebrating the album release with a pop-up shop in New York City this weekend. The remaining members, Q-Tip, Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Jarobi, are set to appear on Saturday Night Live tonight (November 12) with Dave Chappelle hosting.

    1. Oh my God, look at all these writers. You nerds give Drizzaveli flack for having ghostwriters, but look at your “real hip hop” artists. Hypocrisy at its finest! #DrakeIsLoveDrakeIsLife

      1. ?…Other then the oddly absent Ali, we see the usual Tribe suspects listed as writers, +Jarobi, all the writers here were features, often also listed as vocals, unless a given sample was involved. We see no lyrical ghost writers, your whole notion is absurd, you trespassing Drake fans wandered in here, and ran the quantifiable information, found here through your Drake infected filters, which spit out a blank receipt, that you then used to formulate disconnected responses? You certainly can’t hide behind Tribe Called Quest, as a shield when seeking cover for your ghost writers, these Drake fans are shell shocked in defensive war mode, chill fam, you probably don’t really know which article you have even wandered into, yet don’t just look into a Tribe Called Quest, in passing, but really listen in deeply, and behold just how high the level of hip hop had once reached up to. God willing, you will then begin to understand how just absurd and suspect shouting out Drake looks?

        1. When you sample from a group, they get listed as writers too. It has nothing to do with them writing your lyrics. Also, during a recording session of a musician comes up with a concept, an artist with integrity will give them credit for their input.

    2. To that OVO kid: I reckon it’s difficult to read and to comprehend the reason why those ‘writers’ are listed in the credits.

But regarding those credits: makes me wonder what Ali Shaheed’s role was during the recordings..??

    3. all this listings doesnt makes it more reasonable fuckdooria. i have 2 perfectly working ears, thats nuff to hear its fake bs.
