Chance The Rapper won’t be hitting the road in January. After postponing The Big Tour earlier this year, Chance announced its cancellation on Sunday (December 15).
“Hey guys I’ve decided to cancel the Big Tour,” he wrote on Instagram. “I know it sucks and its been a lot of back and forth with reschedules and rerouting, but it’s for the best. I’m gonna take this time to be with family, make some new music and develop my best show to date.”
He continued, “I’m deeply sorry to anyone with a ticket who has supported me this past decade by coming to a show and rocking out with me and I feel even worse for anyone who was planning on making this their first Chance concert. Thank you all for an amazing year, and a huge thanks to my team and family for being so strong through this whole year. I promise to come back much stronger and better in 2020 and hope to see some of you guys there. I truly love you and God bless.”
Chance’s tour was originally supposed to begin in September before being postponed until January. Prior to being canceled, shows were scheduled to take place over the first two months of 2020.

Chance The Rapper didn’t wait long to reschedule The Big Tour. A few weeks after postponing his original run of shows, the Grammy Award winner has announced the new dates for his upcoming concerts.
The reworked schedule maintains previously booked gigs in Chicago and Miami for 2019 but pushes the rest back to 2020. Chance will now begin the bulk of the tour in San Diego on January 15 and wrap up in Milwaukee on February 24. Supporting acts include Lil Yachty and Chance’s brother Taylor Bennett.
Chance’s tour was originally scheduled to begin on September 14. Days before the first show, he changed his plans and revealed he’d be spending more time with his family instead of hitting the road.
“I thought it over for the past week and I’ve decided to push back my tour,” he wrote on Instagram. “This year has been one of the greatest of my life; Marriage, new baby, first album etc. But with it being so eventful it has also been very strenuous having to divide my time and energy between family and work … I need to be as helpful and available as possible to my wife in these early months of raising Kensli and Marli.”

Yeah. More like he pushed that shit back because ticket sales were mad low. The reviews for “The Big Day” haven’t been great or magnificent, so are the “fans” even listening enough to buy tickets? Spend time with your family? Dude knew what type of career and lifestyle he was getting himself into way before he became famous. Now all of a sudden, he conveniently chooses to postpone money to be with “his family”. Pretty sure that this man’s Wife he loves so dearly, would sacrifice not spending quality time with her husband in exchange for her husband bringing home the bacon.
HE SHOULD’VE CANCELED THAT WEAK ASS ALBUM HE DROPPED. MAYBE HE WOULDN’T HAVE TO CANCEL THE TOUR.
His career is over
The album was ass … enough said.
Dreadful album that I could barely listen to once.
I bet the 10 people who bought tickets are so upset..
Well kind of hard to have a show if nobody buy’s the tickets—just sayin_Phil
Chance is destroying his own career. So, his last album is trash. And coloring book is not great either. Acid rap was stellar. I was a gigantic fan back then, but what happens? When an artist you love starts making shitty music, you actually begin to dislike the great music you once loved. Now, I don’t even like playing acid rap…
Jay, I agree. Everyone was gassing him up after he had Acid Rap. But the average music listener didn’t even know who he was. Then he came out with everything else, which ended up not living up to his potential. He was too busy riding the wave, with no music.
You mean he canceled “The Little Tour” that never happend? Gonna pack a stadium with 20 people and yell lyrics to your wack azz albums? No thanks….
Smartest business move the guys made yet. He’s a fool for not releasing a Chance 4 hat, because those things were like the plague at one point. He should’ve sold them before the album though, because aint nobody copping those shits now.
Yeah, so he basically said- my album is wack. I gotta come with a fire album next time around so I can have a tour and perform songs that people will actually know and recite/rap back to me. This nigga could have performed joints off Acid Rap and Coloring Book. Low ticket sales had to be the reason. Looks like the homie’s career is over.
That “I love my wife” meme song was more memorable and enjoyable than any song off that trash album.
That‘s cool, a horrible album doesn‘t really need a big ass tour anyway.
Check him up on that dreadful Netflix rapper contest TV SHOW. so awkward. absolutely made a joke of himself.
and honestly, I never was a fan of “acid rap” and “coloring” something, the music is garbage, i never understood how he became famous in the first place.
‘Hi all ten fans out there, yo! I can’t play to an empty room, so I’ll spend this embarrassing time with my manly wife. I guess that’s a wrap on my career as a rapper. Maybe I can become a TV host like Nick Cannon, or something? I know Obama. Does that still impress anyone out there? Anyone? (Crickets).’

Thank God he won’t spread his bs.
