Chance The Rapper Sells Out Surprise Chicago Show In Less Than An Hour

Chance The Rapper has been all about surprises recently, gearing up for his “Magnificent Coloring World Tour” by showing up unannounced at two music festivals in his hometown of Chicago: on the Lollapalooza stage during Future’s set on Friday (July 29) and at the Pitchfork Music Festival with Jeremih earlier this month.

Today (July 31), he announced a short-notice gift to his hometown fans — a surprise show at the city’s Metro venue.

Tickets were limited and only available in person, prompting fans to rush to the venue.

In less than an hour, all of the tickets for the show at the 1,100-person-capacity venue had been sold.

Chicago fans will get another shot to see Chance on September 24 when he takes over U.S. Cellular Field, the home of the Chicago White Sox. That show will feature Lil Wayne, Young Thug, John Legend, Alicia Keys and more.

    1. Is this kid that nice? I see alotabout him but never heard his music. I don’t really like the direction hip hop has taken this past decade. Web sites like this really don’t help the genre out, every 15 minutes a new rapper w a new single comes out. And their all the next pac, biggie, wayne, etc whoever your fave rapper is

    2. Metro has a capacity of 1100 max lmfao. I’d be worried if that DIDN’T sell out in less than an hour. Great reporting tho 10/10
