Chance The Rapper is continuing to demonstrate his unwavering support for the Chicago Public School System with his latest initiative.
This time around, the Chicago wordsmith and his youth empowerment group SocialWorks have teamed up with Lyft to help raise donations for the Chicago Public School System.
Donations will be accepted via Lyft’s Round-Up program, a program that allows Lyft riders to donate through the ride-sharing app. Additionally, in a tweet sent on Wednesday (September 5), Chance revealed that Lyft will match all donations for the month of September.
“Back to school is here, Chicago! I’m teaming up with @lyft to encourage everyone to Round UP & Donate to support @SocialWorks_Chi and @ChiPubSchools. Lyft has pledged to match all rider donations throughout September! #supportCPS,” Chance The Rapper tweeted on Wednesday.
News of the partnership between SocialWorks and Lyft comes over a year after Chance donated $2.2 million to Chicago Public Schools. The donation was a part of the musician’s promise to “begin investing dollars and material resources into Chicago Public Schools.”

Shut up. It’s a good cause. And if all you have to offer is your opinion then keep it because it isn’t useful or resourceful at all. Have a blessed day!
