C-Murder’s Album Earnings Could Be Seized By Judge

Incarcerated rapper C-Murder could have the sales of his albums that he released since being jailed seized by a judge. Victims of a shooting the Louisiana rapper was involved in are said to be the impetus behind the potentially garnished monies.

In 2001, the artist born Corey Miller reportedly opened fire at a Baton Rouge nightclub and bar although his handgun wasn’t fully operational. Those who were struck in the shooting filed civil judgments against the 45-year-old C-Murder after news broke that the rapper has possibly been recording and releasing new music from behind bars, reports local publication The Advocate.

Although jailed since 2009 and serving a life sentence for the 2002 murder of teenage fan Steven Thomas, a look at C-Murder’s discography reveals that he’s released a handful of projects since his incarceration, including a joint album with Boosie Badazz titled Penitentiary Chances released in the spring of 2016.

The Advocate adds in its reporting that the victims — which include the bouncer he allegedly tried to gun down, the bar’s owner, a bartender, a bar manager and a patron — are hoping a state judge will award them access to C-Murder’s earnings. C-Murder’s continuing music career launched an investigation into how he was able to record new music in prison, although it hasn’t been determined if the music was pre-recorded.

C-Murder enjoyed success in the late 1990s and early 2000s as part of his brother Master P’s No Limit Records family. Alongside P and their brother Silkk The Shocker, they formed the trio TRU.

      1. C murder is innocent. I am 100 percent positive is innocent. The person that killed the boy is dead. C murder is innocent

        1. How are you 100% positive. What evidence do you have that you’re not sharing with his attorneys that can free him?

      2. Cuz he bout it bout it. And he a dope rapper. The industry need him. Listen to that song he did with lil BOOSIE called “In Da Pen” Dooooooope! track.

    1. Innocent? Naa…he’s on security camera letting off the rounds..and he sucks as a rapper. He is right where he supposed to be. Another fake ass rapper in prison, but even more sad, another black man locked in the system instead of out here in the world helping raise and teach the young brothers….

    2. It would be awesome to see him back with No Limit now that they are making noise again and Mystikal Also it’s No Limit Forever

    3. Word in the pen flying kites is C keeps that rock up in his booty hole every Saturday morning. He a changed man since he been opened up during his prison stay.

    4. lol what fuckin album earnings? who the fuck ever bought his albums even back when they were new, let alone now that he’s ass been in prison for over 15 years. Nigga was irrelevant prior to his incarceration and he will remain irrelevant to the far, far foreseeable future.

          1. I only said that because you said he was irrelevant before he started doing his bid, when clearly he wasn’t at the time. But now, yes, totally different story.

            1. Yeah maybe back then when Master Pee was pimpin dude out he was getting a dollar or two but now he ain’t nothin but a washed up has been droppin the soap in the prison showers

    5. To put some respect on my name, clearly you don’t know good music n TRU soulja’s. Just shut da fuck up!!!!!

      1. “you don’t know good music” – Quite the contrary, i DO know good music. That’s why i never was into any of the shit No Limit put out. Even the tracks on “No Limit Top Dogg” (Snoop had a one-album deal with the aforementioned label in the late 90s) that had production/feats by No Limit affiliates were stragiht doo doo. Thanks to Dr. Dre and DJ Quik involvement in the project, shit wasn’t a complete disaster. But still nowhere near a dope album.

          1. Thanks for correcting me. I bought No Limit Top Dogg for some reason back then and was hugely disappointed. I think i heard a track or two from Tha Last Meal and the first album released on No Limit by him is completely unknown to me. I was never really a Snoop fan besides his work on Death Row.

      2. Pretty much the ONLY No Limit track i fuck with is “From N.Y. To N.O.” – And that is because Big Pun is on the track – Mr. Serv-On is pure trash.

        1. Hell yeah, Serv-On is terrible. I actually heard that song for the first time a few years back, and I was laughing so hard for about 15 minutes at how garbage his verse was. Pun definitely saved the track from being a total disaster, but not enough for me to bump it regularly.

    6. This is what happens when keeping it real goes wrong when you make some money and have a little fame and continue wit that thug mentality disaster is the out come his case had some holes in it easy to get in the system and hard to get of it when you call yourself C murder strike one strike two your black strike three you got jammed up on charges and a grainy video he would give it all up to be free now learn from this want to rap gangstas

      1. U just don’t know good music everybody hates on the south because the took over the industry and the west and east is behind the scenes now, meaning washed the fuck up, and if my nigga C was home he would still be doin his thang with the music and every so called hood Nigga in the industry would wanna collaborate with him, like the do with boosie and bg, FREE C-Murder, B. Gizzle, and my nigga Mac ya heard me!!!!

    7. FREE C! Confident he comin’ home, don’t nobody do it like C. But first, God gonna make him pay for his mistakes. His will be done. C, keep ya’ head up. Whoever mentioned Mr Serv-On like he’s still with no limit and that’s even a valid comment is stupid as shit.

    8. Isn’t it enough that he got locked up for life? He did the crime he’s doing his time, and now they want to take his money too? That’s going too far fuck outta here
